About role:- Passionate Senior Java developer required in Central London to play a key role in the design and development of innovative web applications + next generation meta-search products
- Working as part of a small fun team within a well-known online publisher you will be responsible for delivering exciting new products, application design and contributing to architectural decisions
- You must have strong experience with building scalable applications.

Must haves:- Java (Grails/Groovy would be huge bonus)
- Spring/Hibernate
- SQL (ideally MySQL)
- Servlet container experience - e.g. Tomcat, Jetty
- XML technologies
- Web development - XHTML/GSP, AJAX, CSS, Javascript
- Subversion (or other source control)
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- an understanding of scalable web applications (caching, clustering, grid computing, etc)
- Lucene/Compass/Solr experience would be beneficial
- Linux scripting/admin useful
