We are currently looking to add a junior and an intermediate Web Developer with Groovy and Grails experience to our team on a contract basis.

Main Duties

• Translate business requirement into technical design;
• Develop, maintain, and integrate coding for various client software systems / applications;
• Communicate technical problems to peers, architects and project manager and recommendations for possible solutions;
• Conduct unit and regression testing;
• Write and maintain documentation for internal purposes as well as for the customer; and
• Interact with the client when necessary;

Experience Required:

• 3+ years experience in software development using Java/J2EE technologies;
• Solid experience and very good understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts, n-tier web application architecture.
• Must have experience using the following technologies and frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, and Groovy/Grails;
• Nice to have: experience with IBM Websphere Application Server;
• Experience working with different version control systems (SVN, CVS); and
• A track record of great teamwork and the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Or College Diploma in Computer Programming; Computer/Software Engineering
