Devis (Development InfoStructure) seeks a full-time mid-level Java Application Developer. The Java Application Developer will work in a diverse project team with an emphasis on repeatable processes and technical documentation. Responsibilities
Lead small technical teams of 2-3 developers
Mentor and coach junior Java developers.
Design, develop, and implement web-based Java EE applications to support business requirements.
Follow approved life cycle methodologies, create design documents, and perform program coding and unit testing.
Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Manage multiple concurrent tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience with Java and J2EE development
3+ years of experience with a relational database, including Oracle
Solid understanding of Object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques with emphasis on Java/J2EE technology
Experience with software development best practices (RUP, Scrum, Agile)
Knowledge across Java Open-Source technologies (Spring, JUnit)
Solid understanding of relational database concepts (SQL)
Highly organized, Energetic, Creative, Passionate, Works well with others
Desired Qualifications
Oracle and SQL server experience
Knowledge of Groovy and Grails
Knowledge of Visual Source Safe and/or CVS
Knowledge of JBOSS and Apache Tomcat Application Server
