Cloud Application Developer - 119183
Seeking software developers for Lexmark’s next generation of Cloud Solutions. We have several open positions so we are looking for candidates with experience in Web application development and related cloud technologies. Strong background in developing applications using J2EE / Grails and the Groovy programming language is required. This position also requires some knowledge/experience with agile development practices such as Scrum or Extreme Programming.
Experience programming in Web UI technologies such as (HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, EXT JS) is highly desirable. Experience in scripting languages such as Python or Perl is also considered a plus for this position. Experience with subversion and/or Git source code control environments is a definite plus. The candidate will be expected to work in a Test Driven Development (TDD) environment and any experience demonstrating that background would be considered a plus. Any experience with databases such as Oracle or Postgres/EnterpriseDB would be also considered a plus.
The candidate will be responsible for developing high quality software based on best practices in the software industry. Duties may include research, evaluation, development and application of new processes and methods for current and future products. The senior level is viewed as an expert in a given field for a business unit or department. Assignments necessitate advanced knowledge for more complex technical assignments. Candidate must be able to develop, mentor and coach others as well.
