Quick Hit (a division of Majesco Entertainment). is looking for a superstar Grails/Java software team lead. We are developing free, social, online sports games and entertainment.
Position: The Lead Software Engineer reports to the VP Technology and works closely with product management to help define and implement the gaming platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong UI experience (Javascript, Ajax, JQuery) and the ability to implement sophisticated rich user interfaces end to end using Javascript, Ajax and Grails.
Requirements:
• 8 + yrs Java development experience in an Agile enterprise setting
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
• Experience with AJAX, XHTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Experience with Hibernate, Spring or other ORM technologies
• 4+ yrs experience with RDMS concepts and SQL
• Experience with Software Design Patterns, OOP
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

Additional Valued Skills:
• Experience using the Grails Web Framework and the Groovy language
• Experience as a team lead or team mentor
• Experience with one or more social networking APIs like Facebook or Twitter
• Experience developing Facebook applications
• Experience with SOAP or RESTful Web Services
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science
• 2+ yrs experience with a Unix-based operating system
• Performance Tuning
