Our client is looking for a web developer to be their grails expert on a new project because that is what they are lacking. They will have a tech lead on the project, but envision this contractor as a fairly senior person to work alongside their tech lead. They have in-house product catalog experience, and some ecommerce but lack strong e-commerce so this would be great.

The project essentially for phase 1, which will run roughly through end of Nov, will build a simple product catalog with basic mgmt (create, edit, delete) features for products. There are no merchandising capabilities (cross sell , up sell). No product comparison features in phase 1. There will be a database that they expect will adequately model their product catalog so that it can either be reused in phase 2 or more likely serve as a convenient means from which to export data to an eCommerce system down the road. They will do basic search and facetted navigation via solr integration.
