They are looking for a person that will act as their Grails subject matter expert. Candidates need to have closer to 2 years of Grails experience and have been working with it recently being in the last year or two. High Level overview: They are looking at changing their existing framework to Grails. They have several old applications on Struts that they are looking to re-architect on the grails platform This is a great oppty for someone to come in and demonstrate what it can do, the best way to do it and to mentor others throughout the team and organization. Keys to the Job: Significant experience with Grails Strong communication skills - ability to mentor others Needs to have some design and architecture experience as they will be recommending how to best setup Grails. Strong development skills with Java and needs to have at least 1-2 years with Groovy and Grails Strong SQL skills Description: This individual will be working with the Client Applications Team to incubate development of their new Client Management Portal using the GRAILS Productivity Framework. The first set of capabilities that will be launched in the new portal is related to the management of Product Meta-data. Additional Information: • Must possess very strong communication skills • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and needs to be very detail-oriented • Ability to mentor the team in GRAILS best practices • Ability to work with the business analyst teams • Understanding of the application infrastructure design and implementation • Strong delivery focus, ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, with well-balanced technical and client expectation management skills This is 6 months long to start in Boston. The will do a phone interview first but expect all candidates to interview in person. Travels coast are not covered.
